Hey there! We’re Alula and Zuilu Kock, also known as the Zula Kids—two brothers with big dreams, a love for sports, and a passion for giving back. Born into a multicultural family—an Ethiopian mom, a Caribbean dad, and a Dutch upbringing—we’ve always felt connected to different parts of the world. This unique background has shaped not only who we are but also how we see the world and our role in it. urna.

Football Our first love

Football is more than just a game for us—it’s where we feel most alive. We both play for Voorschoten’97 Footbal club—Zuilu in Vo14_2 and Alula in Vo12_1—competing, training hard, and striving to be better every single day. The sport has taught us teamwork, discipline, and resilience—lessons that we carry into every other part of our lives.

But football is not just about winning matches. It’s also about building connections, inspiring others, and using our passion to make a difference—and that’s exactly what we are trying to do.

Exploring Creativity Beyond Sports

Although football takes up a big part of our lives, we don’t stop there. We are also involved in modeling, acting, spoken word, and even writing children’s books! Through these creative outlets, we get to express ourselves in different ways and share stories that inspire and connect people.

We also participate in educative community programs organized by the Ethiopian community in the Netherlands. These experiences help us stay connected to our roots and understand the importance of culture, history, and identity.

Giving Back: The Heart of Our Journey

One of the most important lessons we’ve learned is that giving doesn’t require wealth—just a willing heart.

In 2019 and 2021, we started a small project where we collected school supplies from our classmates and donated them to children in Ethiopia. With the help of the Ethiopian Embassy in the Netherlands, these materials reached students who needed them the most. Seeing how something so small could bring joy to others made us realize that we can always find ways to give back.

This year, we decided to take our football world into our charity work. We started connecting our Voorschoten football community with young footballers in Ethiopia. With the support of teammates, coaches, and friends, we collected football uniforms and balls, which we donated to the Shala Family Association in Ethiopia. Seeing young players receive the equipment they needed to play filled us with so much joy and motivation to do even more.

Our Motivation: Charity knows no Age

A lot of people think that to give back, you need to be rich, famous, or grown-up. But the truth is, you just have to be human. No matter how old you are, you can help someone else. It could be by sharing what you have, offering your time, or simply being kind. The happiness that comes from lifting others up is one of the best feelings in the world, and that’s something we want to continue doing in every way we can. So, whether we are on the football field, in front of the camera, or working on a new project, one thing stays the same: we want to keep growing, keep inspiring, and keep giving back.

Be a part of our Giving Back, and Donate Football Uniforms, Balls, and other Sports Gear, and we’ll deliver them to young people most in need:
